*What being yourself actually means (and how to do it)
*How to live with that inner critic (you know that sucky voice we all have)
*What to do to build by own esteem (instead of relying on others to tell me I'm great)
*That I am unique and no-one else has the answers (for me)
Instead I left school with *some artificial grades on a certificate, *pretty low self-esteem (school never gave me the message I was good at anything - just 'wasting potential')
As an adult I learned (the hard way) how we feel about ourselves may be the biggest player in our overall happiness, emotional wellbeing and enjoyment of life.
Yet we never give our teens the time, space and guidance on how to get to know themselves, how to improve the stuff they want to, how to accept the stuff that is, and how to be a human on this planet and live a good life.
Instead we fill their lives with shoulds and musts and judgements and expectations and social media streams of impossible ideals and then we wonder why they are miserable? What the AF?
CONFIDENTLY ME A LIVE ONLINE PROGRAM FOR TEENS How to be who you are, build your self esteem and feel happier February 8th, 15th and 22st Tuesdays 7.00 pm - 8.00 pm AEDT
WHAT THEY ARE SAYING
We need more adult voices lifting teens, encouraging them, cheerleading them, telling them they are ok, telling them that there is nothing wrong with them, telling them they have skills and talent, telling them they are important, telling them they are loved.
Guiding teens and providing the space for them to find out and become who they are. To love who they are. To understand how their brain works and their own unique recipes for happiness and success.
This program is that.
A safe place for teens to learn about who they are in the world.
And learn practical tools for taking responsibility for their self-esteem. confidence, enjoyment of life and more.

THIS COURSE IS INCREDIBLE!!! Starting this course has made my day. Your videos are so relatable, and I love how you added a few of your own personal experiences! Thank you so much for making this. It's so helpful, and it feels good to know that there are other people who go through the same thing that I do. I can't wait to continue!
Miki aged 14
I liked how calm Belinda was and how she related the stuff she said to personal experiences. The videos were short but informative and the action sheets were easy. They made me think about my emotions more. I liked the course a lot.

WHAT WE COVER
WHAT WE COVER
SCHOOL, SOCIETY AND SOCIAL MEDIA
Once you understand where your self esteem comes from you'll feel more in charge of how you feel. We'll do a quick check in of where you are at so we can see how far you've come in just 3 weeks.
You can watch a million YouTubes and never find the answer. We'll look at why. And then explore a range of practical things you can do to build your confidence and esteem. These tools are easy and FUN.
PLAN FOR YOU
Not every thing works for every one. Belinda will share her go-to strategies and why they work for her. Then we will create an individualised plan for you that will also help you get through the tough times (that we all have).
When things change inside you, things change around you.
WHO THIS IS FOR
This is for you if you are a teen that:
+ feels like they are struggling with this thing called life + wonders if they are 'normal' + knows there must be more to life + has had moments of feeling confident and want more of that + wishes they could just be them and not worry about anyone else
WHO THIS IS NOT FOR
This is NOT for you if you are a teen that:
+ enjoys life and finds things pretty easy + loves school and has their whole career planned out + feels normal + is content with how life and society work + doesn't experience big emotions, you are pretty 'stable' + has great self esteem + trusts that adults have their best interests at heart + is reaching their 'potential'
This is amazing and incredibly helpful!
She really loved learning with you. It has been a joy to see her personal confidence continue to thrive from your encouragement. We can't thank you enough.
Belinda has an amazing way of connecting with and building rapport with youth. This is worth checking out.
I’m Belinda Jay. Founder of School of Stuff That Matters.
I started this whole thing because I found myself saying things like ‘I wish they’d taught me that at school’ ALL the time. I am a teacher, youth mentor, mother of 3 teenage boys and have done mega amounts of professional and personal development.
I truly believe that most of my issues as a teen stemmed from low self esteem (undiagnosed because I appeared, oh-so confident!) I’ve taken everything I have learned to turn my own life around and created a 3 week online program to give teens the tools they need to build their own esteem and confidence.
I've been creating online courses since 2014 and teaching for 20 years. I know what works and how to get the best experience and outcomes for my students. It's what I am here to do.
